Wiktor Wallander came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Through an outstanding action, after 11 minutes, Jonathan Ferrant successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Venezuela's attentive Jonathan Venegas managed to snatch the ball when Leonardo Siggesson made a throw-in in the 21st minute of the game. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wiktor Wallander. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Åke Jansson in the 29th minute of play. When Åke Jansson came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Zero Hedge fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Åke Jansson couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Åke Jansson to make the kick off. Åke Jansson kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Zero Hedge's supporters crossed their fingers, but Åke Jansson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Åke Jansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Gottfrid Stenman hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. 73 minutes into the game, Salvador Gisbert threw the ball into play from the sideline. Zero Hedge's Nils Eliasson quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Åke Jansson went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Nils Eliasson made in the 90th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Åke Jansson however managed to control. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gottfrid Stenman went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Zero Hedge's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
