In the 6th minute, Matouš Carda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ismael Furman was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mehat Kovaçi got free with Fausto da Rocha in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ismael Furman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zhang Yin Si in the 11th minute of the match. In the 14th minute Mehat Kovaçi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto da Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Equipo's goal looked a bit too open when August Wahlnäs came free, but Ismael Furman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 27 minutes, Mehat Kovaçi made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. AFC - Curitiba's Fausto da Rocha tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Mehat Kovaçi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Equipo's supporters rose to their feet, but Mehat Kovaçi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fausto da Rocha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 40 minutes into the match, AFC - Curitiba's goal looked a bit too open when Mehat Kovaçi came free, but Fausto da Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by August Wahlnäs in the 42nd minute of play forced Equipo's goalkeeper Ismael Furman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AFC - Curitiba's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Silvio Asier in the 43rd minute. The corner led to AFC - Curitiba's August Wahlnäs getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Mehat Kovaçi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Fausto da Rocha made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Mehat Kovaçi in the 68th minute of play forced AFC - Curitiba's goalkeeper Fausto da Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ismael Furman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matouš Carda in the 70th minute of play. A collision led to AFC - Curitiba getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. After a rather tough play, AFC - Curitiba's Luiz Fábio Borges got a free kick in the 76th minute. Fausto da Rocha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Beugnet, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. 77 minutes into the match, AFC - Curitiba's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Beugnet came free, but Fausto da Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. AFC - Curitiba's Fausto da Rocha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Beugnet in the 79th minute of play. The corner led Equipo's Juliusz Cezar to fire away a dangerous shot which Fausto da Rocha despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Fausto da Rocha came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Equipo's Bruno Beugnet. But to his dismay, Bruno Beugnet quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. AFC - Curitiba made a substitution. Rômulo Negri replaced Jan Bykowski. After a rather tough play, Equipo's Sebastiano Disselkoen got a free kick in the 96th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Equipo had played much better football throughout.
