Meelis Vananurm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. ◄19A10► Widzew Łódź's Meelis Vananurm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 15th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 16th minute of play forced ◄19A10► Widzew Łódź's goalkeeper Meelis Vananurm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcelo Abreu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Maicon Pontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Meelis Vananurm came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 95thth minute of the game Maicon Pontes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than ◄19A10► Widzew Łódź.
