Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Andy Gudmundsson started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sven-Arne Eklund prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jacobo Nores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albin Lenberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 20th minute, Jaime Pardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jaime Pardo struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Sven-Arne Eklund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paraguay. In the 24th minute Hector Covarrubias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Arne Eklund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Paraguay could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Bennis throughout the match.
