Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) 9 minutes into the match, Lemel SV's Manfred Konradsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ernst de Hoop showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 13th minute, Manfred Konradsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lemel SV fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Ernst de Hoop made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 16th minute of play. Ernst de Hoop showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Ernst de Hoop took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Saelices, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Primitivo Andino hit a great ball. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Manfred Konradsson sent off a good shot on target. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernst de Hoop having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Manfred Konradsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 35 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Luis Andino. Manfred Konradsson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julio Vera came out and tried to block the shot, but Manfred Konradsson slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Manfred Konradsson to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Lemel SV's Manfred Konradsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Lemel SV's Ettore Petroni quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Felix Montenegro, made in the 63rd minute of the game. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dennis Bergkamp in the 64th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ernst de Hoop, 4-1. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernst de Hoop having to interfere. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee felt a red card was in order, 79 minutes into the game, when Sotiris Alexandropoulos put in a rough tackle. The throw-in from Camilo Gisbert in the 83rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Lemel SV's Ettore Petroni. In the 84th minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-3. Ernst de Hoop showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 87th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Dennis Bergkamp came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ernst de Hoop. Ernst de Hoop dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-4. After a rather tough play, Lemel SV's Dennis Bergkamp got a free kick in the 98th minute.
