Abel Reyes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 5th minute of play. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 7 minutes into the match, C.A.P.J.'s goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Abel Reyes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abel Reyes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, C.A.P.J.'s Malcolm Saunders got a free kick in the 10th minute. Abel Reyes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Serafin Criston kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Abel Reyes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 14th minute of play. Filip Oryniak hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in C.A.P.J.'s zone, Lautaro Mancebo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abel Reyes came out of the goal and Lautaro Mancebo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Gaona was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abel Reyes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Joel Gaona came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Gaona couldn't finish the play. Abel Reyes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by C.A.P.J.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. C.A.P.J.'s Abel Reyes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 30th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, C.A.P.J.'s goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Abel Reyes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lautaro Mancebo might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Abel Reyes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lautaro Mancebo ran back to his position shaking his head. 39 minutes into the game, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Abel Reyes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 44th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Reyes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, C.A.P.J.'s Nicodim Alecu got a free kick in the 45th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Serafin Criston got free with Dante Lacasa in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The C.A.P.J. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mexico were winning 0-1.
After 54 played minutes C.A.P.J. got a freekick which was hit by Desiderio Kellenberger. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute Serafin Criston shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 62nd minute of the match, Alberto Tafalla got a very nice opportunity to score, but Abel Reyes was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a defensive mix-up in C.A.P.J.'s zone, Alberto Tafalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abel Reyes came out of the goal and Alberto Tafalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 64 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Liu Feng Jing came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Abel Reyes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 73 minutes C.A.P.J.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Mexico's Joel Gaona to fire away a dangerous shot which Abel Reyes despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 78th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Reyes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denis Karmel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Abel Reyes made a huge save. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to C.A.P.J. getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Eliseo Cresenciano hit a great ball. 92 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of C.A.P.J.'s Abel Reyes. Abel Reyes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 96th minute, Serafin Criston made a precise shot to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. The C.A.P.J. supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Mexico's performance. The match ended with a win for Mexico.
