An unexpectedly hard shot by Larry Feiss in the 11th minute of play forced El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes in the game Jürgen Lessard did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Mike Robert. With an all-out effort, ARAPONGAS's Ricardo Zorita threw himself towards the right post 17 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mike Robert, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 18th minute, Moises Fernandino made a precise shot to the right of Manol Skarlatov. ARAPONGAS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Manol Skarlatov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Luque, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 33 minutes in the game Tõnn Käbin did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Mike Robert. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Mateo Leguizamo hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Marco Tamayo got a free kick in the 39th minute. If Niels Eglin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mike Robert stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mike Robert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Moises Fernandino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. ARAPONGAS made a substitution. Lucian Budulea replaced Jürgen Lessard. ARAPONGAS's Mike Robert got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 70 minutes into the game, ARAPONGAS's Mike Robert nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ricardo Zorita made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After 72 played minutes ARAPONGAS got a freekick which was hit by 叶震洋. After 78 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Lorenzo Yepes. 83 minutes into the game, Mike Robert cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Ricardo Zorita was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ricardo Zorita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mike Robert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Tibor Brandt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91stth minute of the game Mike Robert who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Loic Beck came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the ARAPONGAS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Loic Beck couldn't finish the play.
