After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Lilian Vântu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Xurupita FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lilian Vântu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Zorita breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 25 minutes, Abram Luque mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El Salvador and the Xurupita FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Xurupita FC's Gustavo Coelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moises Fernandino in the 30th minute of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Moises Fernandino was the one to do the kick off. The referee ignored El Salvador's protests and gave Lorenzo Yepes a yellow card for diving instead. Lorenzo Yepes hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match.
