After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uruguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Seco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jákó Myroforidis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 15 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vili Aćimović. Vili Aćimović who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 15thth minute tested the skills of Joaquin Gayoso when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Maximiliano Escribano's late challenge caught a NK AvtoBUM Kočevje's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maximiliano Escribano helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Maximiliano Escribano hit a great ball. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vili Aćimović's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Joaquin Gayoso was a little too slow when Vili Aćimović got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 2-0. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vili Aćimović in the 40th minute of play. A hard shot by Janis Pulver from long distance, 42 minutes into the match, got Joaquin Gayoso's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when Francisco Seco made the kick off in the second half. Ciprian Paveliuc got a throw-in 53 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Ken Sodja. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vili Aćimović in the 54th minute of the match. Vili Aćimović fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. Vili Aćimović succeeded in the game's 62nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-0. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vili Aćimović, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 70 minutes into the game, NK AvtoBUM Kočevje's Vili Aćimović nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joaquin Gayoso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Bruno Beldad kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vili Aćimović in the 75th minute of play. Vili Aćimović fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. NK AvtoBUM Kočevje made a substitution. Jur Kropivšek replaced Ferdo Arnšek. When NK AvtoBUM Kočevje's Vili Aćimović in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vili Aćimović in the 94th minute of play. 97 minutes into the match, NK AvtoBUM Kočevje's Vili Aćimović sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquin Gayoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 97 played minutes NK AvtoBUM Kočevje got a freekick which was hit by Ryan Giggs. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The NK AvtoBUM Kočevje fans cheered their team off the field, for while Uruguay had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
