Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. With a little luck, Tasso FC's Silverio Corderun got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Waldir Urbano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Silverio Corderun made a huge save. Tasso FC's Juca Tasso was substituted for Miguel Sequeira. In the 78th match minute, Tasso FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Antunes to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Agustín Saelices took a quick shot and it went in 2-5 without a chance for Silverio Corderun to make any attempt to save it. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Tasso FC throughout the match.
