If Waldir Urbano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 15 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Waldir Urbano came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tasso FC's Silverio Corderun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 16th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Felix Montenegro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Silverio Corderun. Tasso FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felix Montenegro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The throw-in from Edward Bubczyk in the 23rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. Silverio Corderun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 24th minute of play. Silverio Corderun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 25th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Tasso FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Silverio Corderun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Waldir Urbano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Miguel Sequeira was slow to take the kick. During this time Tasso FC's players had a chance to rest. Miguel Sequeira made a great header on Tasso FC's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 34th minute of play forced Tasso FC's goalkeeper Silverio Corderun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Waldir Urbano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 36 minute of play. Silverio Corderun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 40th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waldir Urbano in the 66th minute of the match. After having played for 69 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Silverio Corderun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 71st minute of play. Waldir Urbano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Tasso FC's Normando Fiúza was substituted for Waldir Urbano. 86 minutes into the game, Tasso FC's Normando Fiúza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. When Berkin Dilsafa fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tasso FC's protests and gave Berkin Dilsafa a yellow card for diving instead. Berkin Dilsafa hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. 90 minutes into the match, Tasso FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Silverio Corderun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 91 minutes had been played when some careless play by Tasso FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner.
