Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Panama's Tomas Berganza started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Miguel Miralles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Panama's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave General Velásquez the free kick. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Miguel Miralles hit a great ball. Clemente Tuñon did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Marcos Cotilla 5 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guntademaro Goyenechea in the 9th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 16 minutes, Marcos Cotilla successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 21st minute, Abraham Alguacil made a precise shot to the right of Henry Tucknott. General Velásquez's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arnold Schwarzenegger during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Arnold Schwarzenegger kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Clemente Tuñon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Cotilla having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clemente Tuñon in the 40th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the game, Aaron Barrios was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 41st match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Barrios to maneuver through the defense. Clemente Tuñon's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 42ndth minute, Marcos Cotilla skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 43rd minute of the match, Clemente Tuñon got a very nice opportunity to score, but Marcos Cotilla was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When Miguel Miralles came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Miralles couldn't finish the play. Marcos Cotilla was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Guntademaro Goyenechea showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 48 minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Guntademaro Goyenechea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marciano Gibson kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. The supporters of General Velásquez booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Miralles didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th minute of the match Arnold Schwarzenegger shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcos Cotilla showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clemente Tuñon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 57th minute Clemente Tuñon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The General Velásquez fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when General Velásquez's Renato Goycolea looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Clemente Tuñon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Cotilla having to interfere. In the 67th minute of the match, Abraham Alguacil got a very nice opportunity to score, but Henry Tucknott was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Miguel Miralles hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. 69 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Guntademaro Goyenechea came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to General Velásquez getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Clemente Tuñon hit a great ball. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guntademaro Goyenechea, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 77th minute Guntademaro Goyenechea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renato Goycolea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 83rd minute of play forced General Velásquez's goalkeeper Henry Tucknott to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, General Velásquez's Henry Tucknott got control of the ball when Abraham Alguacil tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guntademaro Goyenechea, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guntademaro Goyenechea in the 98th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The General Velásquez fans cheered their team off the field, for while Panama had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
