The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 6th minute of play forced C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ's goalkeeper Benedicto Ireno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benedicto Ireno didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Colas Valdueza's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. In the 22nd minute Márk Stephen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ were awarded a corner. Colas Valdueza went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 31st minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Benedicto Ireno. C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Juan Sebastián Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Igor Montes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Colas Valdueza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot 42 in the game by Colas Valdueza from a close distance when the talented Julio Vera managed to make a qualified save. Ecuador's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Márk Stephen in the 46th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Colas Valdueza made a kick off. In the 51st minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Benedicto Ireno was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 52nd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Arias to maneuver through the defense. Colas Valdueza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60th minute, Eliézer Mendonça hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benedicto Ireno. The C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benedicto Ireno should have stopped the shot. C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ made a substitution. Yin Wei Yi replaced Colas Valdueza. C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ's Benedicto Ireno proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ from getting a goal against them. In the 72nd minute Yin Wei Yi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ's Benedicto Ireno proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ from getting a goal against them. 79 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Yin Wei Yi came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 83 minutes C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Felix Montenegro heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Benedicto Ireno made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Igor Montes hit a great ball. In the 91st minute, Yin Wei Yi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yin Wei Yi in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodosio Montes in the 95th minute of the match. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
