Haroldo de Sena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Haroldo de Sena. Reko-Recko 03™'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 15th match minute, Reko-Recko 03™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hortêncio Rosa to maneuver through the defense. After 20 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Haroldo de Sena was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Montenegro in the 26th minute of play forced Reko-Recko 03™'s goalkeeper Haroldo de Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. A hard shot 51 in the game by Daniel Zorita from a close distance when the talented Haroldo de Sena managed to make a qualified save. Reko-Recko 03™'s players were relieved. After 53 played minutes Reko-Recko 03™ got a freekick which was hit by Alessandro Moraes. In the 62nd minute, Eliézer Cerezo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alessandro Moraes kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 66th minute, Cristian Sancho reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Haroldo de Sena. The goal made the score 0-6. Tostão Arruda hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Haroldo de Sena made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Montenegro in the 71st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Reko-Recko 03™'s zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Haroldo de Sena came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Daniel Zorita slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Haroldo de Sena. That made the score 0-8 after 78 minutes of play. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reko-Recko 03™'s Haroldo de Sena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Reko-Recko 03™ from getting a goal against them. In the 86th minute, Ecuador's Luis Andino dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-9. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Haroldo de Sena in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Haroldo de Sena was a little too slow when Daniel Zorita got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 93rd minute. The score was now 0-10. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Reko-Recko 03™.
