The supporters of CACYFA booed when Auckland Koalas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aadam Taevere didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Alfredo Emeterio made the kick off in the second half. Ilmar Esken took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Emeterio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ilmar Esken dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Tarmo Kalinin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 69 minutes into the game, Siro Menendo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Ilmar Esken was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rolando Zárate who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 86thth minute tested the skills of Ilmar Esken when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Auckland Koalas's Aadam Taevere got his second yellow card of the match in the 87th minute. The referee ordered Aadam Taevere off the ground. Tarmo Kalinin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Celedonio Saturnin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. CACYFA's Benicio Mundo got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
