Teodoro Gaufred made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacco van Dartel in the 21st minute of play. A collision led to MK Investments getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Jacco van Dartel hit a great ball. In the 27th minute of the match, Ludomil Pieprz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Peter Oldenborger saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 28 played minutes MK Investments got a freekick which was hit by Jim Rensenbrink. The audience thought a goal was coming when Witalis Cichowski got free with Peter Oldenborger in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Waclaw Poremba in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teodoro Gaufred prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Waclaw Poremba to make the kick off.
