Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guido Bartolome in the 5th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ernesto Merexildo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 14 minutes into the match, Lα Sυв 21's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Ernesto Merexildo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lα Sυв 21's Ernesto Merexildo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 16th minute of play. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Ernesto Merexildo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luis Andino kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Ernesto Merexildo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 24th minute of play. Lα Sυв 21's Ernesto Merexildo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 25th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Cirilo Fe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Cirilo Fe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cirilo Fe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Lα Sυв 21 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Ernesto Merexildo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ernesto Merexildo firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 55th match minute, Lα Sυв 21 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cirilo Fe to maneuver through the defense. 65 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Severiano Enekoitz came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Lα Sυв 21's Ernesto Merexildo. Ernesto Merexildo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lα Sυв 21's Rolando Orti was substituted for Godofredo Eutor. Lα Sυв 21 made a substitution. Pablo Vegetti replaced Severiano Enekoitz. Lα Sυв 21's Fulgencio Bidari was substituted for Guido Bartolome. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Sancho came free with the goalkeeper in the 80th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ernesto Merexildo could save by the left post. In the 81st minute Juan Sebastián Puig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Merexildo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lα Sυв 21's Ernesto Merexildo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Lα Sυв 21 from getting a goal against them. After 87 minutes, Luo Feng mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lα Sυв 21 and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Lα Sυв 21's Luo Feng got a free kick in the 87th minute. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Primitivo Andino hit a great ball. Pablo Vegetti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3.
