Mauro Montay came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Alberto Tafalla. But to his dismay, Alberto Tafalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Mauro Montay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 6th minute of the match. In the 11th minute, Alberto Tafalla made a precise shot to the right of Mauro Montay. All Boys's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The supporters of Mexico booed when All Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vladimiro Idacio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute of the match Joel Gaona shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mauro Montay showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. All Boys's Mauro Montay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 27th minute of play. Teodosio Viator hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. When Joel Gaona got free in front of the goal in the 31st minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Mauro Montay was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Mauro Montay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 33rd minute of the match. After some careless play in the All Boys defense, Alberto Tafalla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mauro Montay. The All Boys fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mauro Montay should have stopped the shot. 44 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mauro Montay. All Boys's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joel Gaona was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Serafin Toribio was the one to do the kick off. After 51 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Luca Rouco. A collision led to All Boys getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Serafin Toribio hit a great ball. Mauro Montay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 57th minute of play. In the 57th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Montay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, All Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Mauro Montay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mauro Montay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After 61 minutes of play, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mauro Montay was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mauro Montay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 66 minutes, Mauro Montay successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The audience was convinced that Joel Gaona's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mauro Montay was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Braulio Azevedo hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Mexico's Joel Gaona got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alberto Tafalla came free with the goalkeeper in the 84th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Mauro Montay could save by the left post. Through an outstanding action, after 85 minutes, Mauro Montay successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Mauro Montay made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 86th minute. Nereo Pedroso's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nereo Pedroso helped the player get up and apologised. Mauro Montay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 93rd minute of the match. Mauro Montay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 94th minute of play. After a rather tough play, All Boys's Braulio Azevedo got a free kick in the 94th minute. The supporters of Mexico booed when All Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nereo Pedroso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mexico's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
