Woopbongo's attentive André Törnqvist managed to snatch the ball when Leonardo Leoz made a throw-in in the 3rd minute of the game. Valter Wallgren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lautaro Mancebo went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 15th minute of the match Joel Gaona sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Valter Wallgren skillfully saved the ball. André Törnqvist's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. André Törnqvist helped the player get up and apologised. André Törnqvist hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Valter Wallgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Tafalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valter Wallgren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A sloppy throw-in by Leonardo Leoz in the 31st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Woopbongo's André Törnqvist. In the 33rd match minute, Woopbongo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rutger Billberg to maneuver through the defense. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. In the 37th match minute, Woopbongo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pär Rudqvist to maneuver through the defense. Pär Rudqvist hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 43rd minute of play forced Woopbongo's goalkeeper Valter Wallgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ola Håkansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valter Wallgren having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Gaona to strike the kick off in the second half. Valter Wallgren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 50th minute. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ola Håkansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Valter Wallgren in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Mexico booed when Woopbongo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mats Gerdberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Albohm in the 62nd minute of play. Valter Wallgren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 64th minute. 64 minutes into the game, Lautaro Mancebo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Valter Wallgren. Lautaro Mancebo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. 69 minutes into the match, Woopbongo's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Valter Wallgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 74 minutes Woopbongo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. Mats Gerdberg hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 80th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valter Wallgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Woopbongo's Valter Wallgren got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, Woopbongo's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Valter Wallgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mexico played a much better game than Woopbongo and deserved their victory. The Woopbongo players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
