The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Andarilhos's Jon Oblak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 22nd minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fu Han Qiang. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fu Han Qiang got free with Julio Vera in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fu Han Qiang's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Andarilhos's Jon Oblak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 31st minute of play. Andarilhos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After 46 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jon Oblak was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Fu Han Qiang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Daniel Zorita hit a great ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fu Han Qiang in the 54th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Jon Oblak in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 57 minutes into the match, Andarilhos's Fu Han Qiang sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jon Oblak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Antony Bruno came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Andarilhos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antony Bruno couldn't finish the play. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonzalo Montiel in the 70th minute of play. Jon Oblak made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. In the 74thth minute of the game Antony Bruno who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fu Han Qiang in the 77th minute of play. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jon Oblak having to interfere. But to his dismay, Antony Bruno quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. 87 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Jon Oblak was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
