Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when André Roriz made the kick off which started today's match. Torcato Rebocho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Torcato Rebocho's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. 9 minutes into the game, Salvador Lousada was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Garanhão do SUL's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. After 9 played minutes Garanhão do SUL got a freekick which was hit by Salvador Lousada. After recieving a nice pass, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas tried to score from far away in the 10th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 13 minutes of play, Garanhão do SUL's André Roriz made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ignatius Casasola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 19th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Roriz, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ignatius Casasola breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 27th match minute, Garanhão do SUL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salvador Lousada to maneuver through the defense. After 28 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gaos. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Akis Kefallinos in the 30th minute. The supporters of Garanhão do SUL booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Mina didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Adriano Leite sent off a good shot on target. Garanhão do SUL's Ignatius Casasola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 38th minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Cassiano Telinhos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Ignatius Casasola made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 52nd minute. When Edgar Costa came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Garanhão do SUL fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgar Costa couldn't finish the play. 56 minutes into the match, Garanhão do SUL's goalkeeper Ignatius Casasola had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignatius Casasola having to interfere. Garanhão do SUL's Amado Vigário was substituted for André Roriz. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Ignatius Casasola didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. In the 70th minute, Amado Vigário got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Ignatius Casasola didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Ignatius Casasola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amado Vigário in the 76th minute of play. After 78 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Adriano Leite who took care of the corner kick. Garanhão do SUL were awarded a corner in the 82th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Adriano Leite took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Akis Kefallinos managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 84 minutes into the game, Garanhão do SUL's Amado Vigário nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Amado Vigário charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amado Vigário the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Garanhão do SUL getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Amado Vigário hit a great ball. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignatius Casasola having to interfere. Albano Leizarraga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. The supporters of Garanhão do SUL booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball.
