A4p FC Gad's supporters crossed their fingers, but King Scorpio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A4p FC Gad's Glenn Fyfe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 32nd minute of play. Glenn Fyfe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 33rd minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Eliseo Mina got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Glenn Fyfe quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of Peru booed when A4p FC Gad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dumitru Purcărete didn't get a good kick on the ball. 44 minutes into the match, A4p FC Gad's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Glenn Fyfe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, Luz Tejedor notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of A4p FC Gad's Glenn Fyfe. Glenn Fyfe was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After 57 minutes Peru's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marcin Pachucki who took care of the corner kick. After a rather tough play, A4p FC Gad's Cătălin Răduleț got a free kick in the 57th minute. If Julian Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alessandro Del Piero in the 62nd minute of the match. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from King Scorpio in the 65th minute of play. Eliseo Mina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A4p FC Gad's Anfilogino Manzi was substituted for Dumitru Purcărete. A4p FC Gad's Gică Busuioc was substituted for King Scorpio. In the 76th minute, Julian Murillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gică Busuioc in the 78th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Gică Busuioc came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Eliseo Mina hit a great ball. When Efraim Gilabert fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Peru's protests and gave Efraim Gilabert a yellow card for diving instead. In the 81st minute, Efraim Gilabert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Efraim Gilabert hit a great ball. 83 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Marcin Pachucki came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rafael Gallo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Glenn Fyfe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Gică Busuioc notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Peru's Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee ignored Peru's protests and gave Alonso Berganza a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Peru's Alonso Berganza got a free kick in the 91st minute. After 92nd play minutes Gică Busuioc shot 3-1, a short shot which went by Rolando Noboa and just under the crossbar into goal. Rafael Gallo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Glenn Fyfe having to make a save.
