Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jaime Pardo took the kick off in the first half of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emiliano Lesardo in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacobo Nores prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 13 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Emiliano Lesardo sped through Paraguay's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jacobo Nores. Garci Vaz hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. When Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Estudiantes de Merida FC's goalie prevented a goal. Honorio Lario succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 26th playminute. 29 minutes into the game, Lando Morais threw the ball into play from the sideline. Paraguay's Ivan Prats quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The referee felt a red card was in order, 34 minutes into the game, when Iker Tafalla put in a rough tackle. In the 34th minute, one of Paraguay:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Paraguay. After 44 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Juan Diego Tenorio. Garci Vaz's late challenge caught a Paraguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Garci Vaz helped the player get up and apologised. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emiliano Lesardo to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Emiliano Lesardo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Estudiantes de Merida FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Paraguay's Ivan Prats quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Lando Morais, made in the 56th minute of the game. Jacobo Nores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emiliano Lesardo in the 58th minute of the match. In the 59th minute, Primitivo Escribano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emiliano Lesardo in the 64th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Lesardo in the 65th minute of play forced Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Honorio Lario hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Jacobo Nores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emiliano Lesardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 69 minutes, Emiliano Lesardo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Estudiantes de Merida FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emiliano Lesardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Juan Diego Tenorio hit a great ball. After 81st play minutes Emiliano Lesardo shot 8-0, a short shot which went by Jacobo Nores and just under the crossbar into goal. 86 minutes into the match, Emiliano Lesardo notched a goal, 9-0, to the right of Paraguay's Jacobo Nores. Jacobo Nores was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Paraguay defense, Marcelino Quinten kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacobo Nores. The Paraguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacobo Nores should have stopped the shot. Paraguay's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Estudiantes de Merida FC had won, even though Paraguay had held more of the ball.
