After taking down the ball on Belgrano de Pibasog's corner Blue Dolar fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lazaros Kabantais quite easily take care of the ball. Bernardo Raggio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filomeno Mendebal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filomeno Mendebal in the 17th minute of play forced Belgrano de Pibasog's goalkeeper Bernardo Raggio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Belgrano de Pibasog's Judas Verón sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lazaros Kabantais narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 20 minutes Los Materos FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Eustaquio Fortun who took care of the corner kick. Los Materos FC's Lazaros Kabantais played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Judas Verón in the 46th minute of play. Lazaros Kabantais showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Judas Verón, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. In the 47th minute, Simon Diaz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Judas Verón was the one to do the kick off. Simon Diaz kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Bernardo Raggio made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Filomeno Mendebal sent off a good shot on target. After 61 minutes Belgrano de Pibasog's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Horacio Abajas who took care of the corner kick. 65 minutes into the match, Belgrano de Pibasog's goal looked a bit too open when Filomeno Mendebal came free, but Bernardo Raggio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Horacio Abajas got free with Bernardo Raggio in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 68 minutes into the game, Filomeno Mendebal recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bernardo Raggio. Filomeno Mendebal showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Los Materos FC's Elias Furman was substituted for Carlos Larpe. Los Materos FC's Aaron Molina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Timo Haydon, made in the 72nd minute of the game. Pierre-Loup Villaume could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Bernardo Raggio made a huge save. In the 75th minute Judas Verón shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lazaros Kabantais saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Belgrano de Pibasog's Bernardo Raggio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tincho Palermo in the 82nd minute of play. Judas Verón received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Lazaros Kabantais tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 88 minutes into the game, Silvio Abadia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Lazaros Kabantais was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Belgrano de Pibasog's Bernardo Raggio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tincho Palermo in the 93rd minute of play. In the 94th minute, Los Materos FC's Tincho Palermo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
