Spectators: 52 (Terracing: 39, Seating: 12, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Francisco Seco started the match with the kick off. If Garth Brough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Garth Brough's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Joaquin Gayoso firmly grabbed it by the left post. A collision led to Australian Youth Academy getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Garth Brough hit a great ball. Joaquin Gayoso was out of position in the 11 minute of play, and Garth Brough capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Garth Brough really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Garth Brough took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Joaquin Gayoso to make any attempt to save it. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Garth Brough took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Joaquin Gayoso to make any attempt to save it. Jorge Sainz made in the 25th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Camilo Franco. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Garth Brough's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Garth Brough received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Joaquin Gayoso came out and tried to block the shot, but Garth Brough slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 34th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Garth Brough dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Joaquin Gayoso, 5-0. Jorge Sainz made in the 43rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Camilo Franco immediately put the ball in play. 46 minutes into the game, Garth Brough recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Joaquin Gayoso. Garth Brough showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 6-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Garth Brough to strike the kick off in the second half. If Maximiliano Escribano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Garth Brough, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute Garth Brough shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Garth Brough scored 8-0 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joaquin Gayoso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Uruguay's Arturo Carvallo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Cesar Cornelius, made in the 70th minute of the game. In the 76th minute Australian Youth Academy were awarded a corner. Cesar Cornelius went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 77th minute Garth Brough shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garth Brough in the 80th minute of play. Arturo Carvallo hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. When Australian Youth Academy's Garth Brough in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Uruguay's goalie prevented a goal. In the 93rd match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Carvallo to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Garth Brough in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Australian Youth Academy were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Uruguay for a fine match.
