Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Esteco's goalkeeper Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norberto-Osvaldo Alonso in the 7th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Norberto-Osvaldo Alonso came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo saved Esteco from getting behind. Felix Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lorenzo Boni could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 33rd minute of play. Norberto-Osvaldo Alonsos short, quick shot in the 36thth minute got Julio Vera to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 37 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 42nd minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Norberto-Osvaldo Alonso to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great ball. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jiří Petera in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 60th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th minute of the match, Cristian Sancho got a very nice opportunity to score, but Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 74 minutes had been played when some careless play by Esteco's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Felix Montes heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 79th minute of the match Esteco got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Celedonio Oliverios ran over to the corner to take the kick. When Quique Wolf came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Esteco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Quique Wolf couldn't finish the play. In the 82nd minute, Esteco's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norberto-Osvaldo Alonso in the 83rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 86th minute after Esteco's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The supporters of Esteco booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Sebastián Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lorenzo Boni in the 90th minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Esteco's goalkeeper Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. The Esteco fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
