After some careless play in the Greencard defense, Felix Montenegro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nanang Wardhana. The Greencard fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nanang Wardhana should have stopped the shot. Nanang Wardhana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 14th minute of the match. 23 minutes into the game, Greencard's Tora Suarlan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After having played for 36 minutes, Ilham Mahuse managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Greencard's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ilham Mahuse was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 37th minute of play forced Greencard's goalkeeper Nanang Wardhana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Greencard's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Nanang Wardhana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 42 played minutes Greencard got a freekick which was hit by Sukri Saepuloh. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Ilham Mahuse managed to get in a good position for a shot. Greencard's supporters rose to their feet, but Ilham Mahuse was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 57 played minutes Greencard got a freekick which was hit by Tora Suarlan. In the 59th match minute, Greencard was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tora Suarlan to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. In the 67th minute, Ilham Mahuse ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Greencard's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nanang Wardhana came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Greencard made a substitution. Mamat Wirayudha replaced Malin Kundang. In the 77th minute, Agustín Saelices hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Greencard getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Jendry Sambuaga hit a great ball. Antonio Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. The Greencard support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
