With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfons Helström in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 8th minute of the game. One of Venezuela:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Jofurs Drängar:s goal. Thanks to some nice moves Vedat Arslanoğlu could shoot a difficult shot in the 11th minute, which Jonathan Ferrant however easily saved by the left post. Ola Berg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. When the match clock showed 13 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Tomas Illescas sped through Jofurs Drängar's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ola Berg. Tomas Illescas charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomas Illescas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfons Helström in the 16th minute of the match. In the 20th minute Jofurs Drängar were awarded a corner. Sten Mellin went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Venezuela's goalie and right to Gilbert Björklund. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Venezuela's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Cirilo Lefebre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Jofurs Drängar's Kristoffer Hedström got a free kick in the 35th minute. Vedat Arslanoğlu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Jonathan Ferrant skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 46 minutes into the match, Jofurs Drängar's Alfons Helström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Alfons Helström made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfons Helström in the 55th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kristoffer Hedström made in the 58th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Vedat Arslanoğlu. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ola Berg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 66 minutes, Tomas Illescas made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Jofurs Drängar's Ola Berg tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 73 minutes into the game, Osvald Alkvist was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jofurs Drängar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. Ola Berg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. A collision led to Jofurs Drängar getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Kristoffer Hedström hit a great ball. Ola Berg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 83rd minute of the match. 90 minutes into the match, Jofurs Drängar's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Ola Berg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ted Salkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Jofurs Drängar fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
