Floris Hoving didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bolivia. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Han Kostermans's late challenge caught a Bolivia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Han Kostermans helped the player get up and apologised. Han Kostermans kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Han Kostermans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Freixa having to interfere. Camilo Freixa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Ferman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Han Kostermans couldn't finish the play. Han Kostermans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Freixa having to interfere. Despite being the better team, De hijgende Hertjes failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
