Demonde Jacobson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Justino Charro in the 14th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Lugano Futbol's goal looked a bit too open when Finlay Stair came free, but Feliciano Elodio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Lugano Futbol booed when Jamaica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jarell Hill didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Apolo Marz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Demonde Jacobson was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Finlay Stair was the one to do the kick off. Lugano Futbol's Feliciano Elodio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Lugano Futbol from getting a goal against them. Lugano Futbol's Feliciano Elodio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Finlay Stair in the 57th minute of play. Demonde Jacobson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Apolo Marz went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. In the 64th minute Apolo Marz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Demonde Jacobson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Demonde Jacobson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Justino Charro in the 65th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Jamaica's Finlay Stair slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Feliciano Elodio. That made the score 3-1 after 90 minutes of play. In the 95th minute of the match, Finlay Stair tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Feliciano Elodio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 96th minute, Wayan Freeman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. For all the effort they put into the match, the Jamaica players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Lugano Futbol.
