In the 37th minute, Valleslona F.C.'s José Antonio Costa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 7-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anderson Viana in the 41st minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andréas Stenkvist in the 42nd minute of play.
