Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Reese Otto took the kick off in the first half of the match. Cassius Byrne took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rhys Dimmock. Rhys Dimmock dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Zamalek FC's Rhys Dimmock played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Mcdonald in the 10th minute of play. Monty Rogers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rhys Dimmock having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in USA's zone, Sergey Krasinskiy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco Day came out of the goal and Sergey Krasinskiy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edward Mcdonald blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rhys Dimmock having to make a save. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergey Krasinskiy in the 20th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute of the match, Reese Otto tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marco Day saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 25 minutes into the match, Zamalek FC's goal looked a bit too open when Monty Rogers came free, but Rhys Dimmock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of USA booed when Zamalek FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Davis Duff didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rhys Dimmock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Rogers in the 38th minute of play. Daron Joseph's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marco Day read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Zamalek FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Elin Elin in the 40th minute. Tytus Banaszak was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Monty Rogers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Rhys Dimmock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cassius Byrne made a kick off. Cassius Byrne's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rhys Dimmock firmly grabbed it by the left post. Sergey Krasinskiy scored 1-1 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marco Day, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daron Joseph in the 55th minute of the match. Davis Duff made a great header on Zamalek FC's corner, it was just that USA's Marco Day managed to reach the ball for a save. Rhys Dimmock made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cassius Byrne in the 58th minute. The corner led to USA's Jacob May getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reese Otto in the 64th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rhys Dimmock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Rogers in the 68th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Monty Rogers in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rhys Dimmock saved Zamalek FC from getting behind. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reese Otto in the 72nd minute of play. Rhys Dimmock stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cassius Byrne's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. The supporters of Zamalek FC booed when USA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raphael Moore didn't get a good kick on the ball. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. In the 79th match minute, USA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raphael Moore to maneuver through the defense. Sergey Krasinskiy might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marco Day. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sergey Krasinskiy ran back to his position shaking his head. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergey Krasinskiy in the 82nd minute of the match. Zamalek FC's Rhys Dimmock played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Khalid Parry in the 90th minute of play. If Khalid Parry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fred Kirkpatrick, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Zamalek FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though USA had controlled the match.
