Mike Zoetmulder was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abram Sarmiento stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Henk Cardinaal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The De Pelgrims fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Perivaldo Eger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ignacio Mastache got free with Mike Zoetmulder in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Samuel Navarro got a free kick in the 81st minute. 81 minutes into the match, Henk Cardinaal notched a goal, 6-2, to the right of Colombia's Pedro Manzanares.
