Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Rik Winnepennincks got the match started through his kick off. Eliseo Noboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claude Persoons having to interfere. Brian Van Eynde received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benito Sanz came out and tried to block the shot, but Brian Van Eynde slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 5th minute. In the 16th minute of the match, Jabbar De Roeulx tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Benito Sanz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pascal Van der Willeghem in the 19th minute of play. In the 25th minute, Hugo Ferrant hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th minute of the match, Jabbar De Roeulx tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Benito Sanz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 29th minute, Alan Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claude Persoons showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Puig in the 31st minute of the match. Brian Van Eynde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Rik Winnepennincks sent off a good shot on target. Daan van haeve kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Axel Tasis was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the game, LeRoeulx's Rik Winnepennincks nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. 58 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Jabbar De Roeulx came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th minute Jabbar De Roeulx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th minute, Axel Tasis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Rik Winnepennincks's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Lautaro Puig might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Claude Persoons. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lautaro Puig ran back to his position shaking his head. When Alan Moruga fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Alan Moruga a yellow card for diving instead. In the 70th minute, Alan Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71st minute, Rik Winnepennincks ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. If Rik Winnepennincks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Eliseo Noboa came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Costa Rica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Noboa couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Jabbar De Roeulx kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. When Juan Rubio fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Juan Rubio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 85th minute, Juan Rubio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rik Winnepennincks in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. Brian Van Eynde scored 6-0 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee ended the match the LeRoeulx players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
