Amado Gamus stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Espiga's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 11 minutes into the match, Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Astor Senio. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Esteban Carvallo got a free kick in the 17th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Fermin Precioso came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Fermin Precioso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fermin Precioso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 22 minutes into the match, Caricancha's Marco van Nistelrooij sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lautaro Navarro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 23 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Fermin Precioso came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Fermin Precioso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lautaro Navarro was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Edmundo Espiga struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Amado Gamus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honduras. Caricancha's Astor Senio got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 35th minute, Astor Senio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caricancha fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Honduras from getting a goal against them. Amado Gamus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Astor Senio took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. In the 47th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Villa to maneuver through the defense. Fermin Precioso took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The wind increased when Marco van Nistelrooij made the kick off in the second half. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fermin Precioso in the 63rd minute of play. Lautaro Navarro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fermin Precioso went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Fermin Precioso put it in 9-0 from a short distance just to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Edmundo Espiga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fermin Precioso scored 10-0 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lautaro Navarro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Caricancha walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
