In the 18th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to DIF LEEDS BK getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Jerry Jonasson hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brazilio Butt having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in DIF LEEDS BK's zone, Luis Andino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brazilio Butt came out of the goal and Luis Andino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 31st minute of play forced DIF LEEDS BK's goalkeeper Brazilio Butt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as DIF LEEDS BK's Pál Kormos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Julio Vera. That made the score 1-0 after 33 minutes of play. Ulf Nordlander's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ulf Nordlander helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, DIF LEEDS BK's Ulf Nordlander got a free kick in the 39th minute. Brazilio Butt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Saul Drew tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Cristian Sancho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Brazilio Butt was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. Eduardo Selmo kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brazilio Butt having to interfere. When Daniel Zorita, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 64 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Brazilio Butt was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Daniel Zorita's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 67thth minute, Brazilio Butt skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Pál Kormos came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the DIF LEEDS BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pál Kormos couldn't finish the play. Pál Kormos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Saul Drew came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 78 minutes into the game, Luis Andino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Brazilio Butt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 88thth minute of the game Cristian Sancho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but DIF LEEDS BK's Brazilio Butt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Brazilio Butt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 89th minute of the match. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pál Kormos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th minute, Pál Kormos made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Pál Kormos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot.
