Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Gurlui having to interfere. In the 5th minute, Marian Macrea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 6 minutes into the match, C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's goal looked a bit too open when Abraham Alguacil came free, but Edgar Gurlui reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abraham Alguacil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Edgar Gurlui made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abraham Alguacil in the 10th minute of play. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gigel Nichita, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Isidoro Sarmiento managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Isidoro Sarmiento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgar Gurlui breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 20 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sorin Chihaia. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 23rd minute of play forced C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's goalkeeper Edgar Gurlui to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute, Tomas Berganza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Panama fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 30th minute, Sorin Unchiaşu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Tomas Berganza came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Berganza couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Panama's Aaron Barrios got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 36th minute of the match, Claudiu Gioagă got a very nice opportunity to score, but Marcos Cotilla was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Edgar Gurlui came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento. But to his dismay, Isidoro Sarmiento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. A collision led to C Ａ R D I N Ａ L getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Sorin Chihaia hit a great ball. Valeriu Donecea kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Panama's Abraham Alguacil tried to score from far away in the 48th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After the first half Panama were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sorin Chihaia made a kick off. In the 52nd match minute, C Ａ R D I N Ａ L was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valeriu Donecea to maneuver through the defense. Edgar Gurlui showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abraham Alguacil, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. 55 minutes into the match, Iulian Ghionea notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Panama's Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 60th minute, Abraham Alguacil left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Panama fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. In the 65th minute Isidoro Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgar Gurlui saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 69 minutes into the game, when Marian Macrea put in a rough tackle. In the 70th match minute, C Ａ R D I N Ａ L was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marian Macrea to maneuver through the defense. After 74 played minutes C Ａ R D I N Ａ L got a freekick which was hit by Sorin Chihaia. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abraham Alguacil in the 75th minute of play forced C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's goalkeeper Edgar Gurlui to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Panama's Alex Cambeiro got a free kick in the 77th minute. After 78 played minutes, C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's Claudiu Gioagă shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in C Ａ R D I N Ａ L reached it. In the 89th minute, Iulian Ghionea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Miguel Miralles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's Sorin Chihaia got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Tomas Berganza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edgar Gurlui having to make a save. After 95 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Dylan Sarmiento. When the match was over Panama could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than C Ａ R D I N Ａ L throughout the match.
