Decathlon Dudes's Tadej Pogačar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 4th minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, Decathlon Dudes's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Tadej Pogačar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 19 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Anthony Alvarado. In the 20th minute, Costin Moisil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Costin Moisil in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolando Noboa saved Peru from getting behind. Through an outstanding action, after 48 minutes, Rolando Noboa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The supporters of Peru booed when Decathlon Dudes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antonio Tenorio in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tadej Pogačar saved Decathlon Dudes from getting behind. Peru's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
