The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Nelsinho Leite in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aírton Sousa hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Vascogoianiense FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aírton Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ecuador played a much better game than Vascogoianiense FC and deserved their victory. The Vascogoianiense FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
