Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Dorel Călin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC LEVSKI ОК's Dorel Călin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 16th minute of play. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Georgi Parlapanski sent off a good shot on target. Dorel Călin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Dorel Călin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Montenegro in the 25th minute of play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stavri Drakev, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 29 minutes into the match, FC LEVSKI ОК's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Dorel Călin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute Stavri Drakev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stavri Drakev's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stavri Drakev helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, FC LEVSKI ОК's Stavri Drakev got a free kick in the 48th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the match Vasko Stepanov sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera skillfully saved the ball. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Vasko Stepanov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Vasko Stepanov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Stavri Drakev was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 64 minutes had been played. After 65 played minutes FC LEVSKI ОК got a freekick which was hit by Stavri Drakev. Cristian Sancho hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. FC LEVSKI ОК's Dorel Călin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 74th minute of play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when FC LEVSKI ОК was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chris Rea didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC LEVSKI ОК's Dorel Călin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 84th minute of play. The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 85th match minute when Ecuador's Cristian Sancho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Cristian Sancho kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. When Alain Kheyari came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the FC LEVSKI ОК fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alain Kheyari couldn't finish the play. Ecuador played a much better game than FC LEVSKI ОК and deserved their victory. The FC LEVSKI ОК players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
