It was Alessio Muciaccia who took care of the corner kick. 20 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Asep Darusman. Esporte Clube do Porto's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alessio Muciaccia in the 21st minute. The corner led to Esporte Clube do Porto's Jailson de Amorim getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 25 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Asep Darusman came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 3-0 became the score in the 28th minute when Ailton Lira elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Jailson de Amorim made in the 37th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by El Salvador's Valentino Ferrant. Esporte Clube do Porto's Kale Kaledin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moises Fernandino in the 39th minute of play. Esporte Clube do Porto's Okanay Elmas got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 45th match minute, Esporte Clube do Porto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charles Sarmento to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
