Santiago Abreu started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santiago Abreu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 8 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iker Madrid. Celestiales's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mariano Lacasa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 19 minutes into the game, Felix Garrido threw the ball into play from the sideline. Celestiales's Declan Rice quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 21st minute of play forced Celestiales's goalkeeper Iker Madrid to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iker Madrid read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 25th minute of play forced Celestiales's goalkeeper Iker Madrid to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Orlando Casaus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Celestiales's goalkeeper Iker Madrid, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 30th minute, Mariano Lacasa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chile fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Chile were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after Celestiales's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mariano Lacasa took the corner. Iker Madrid made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 40th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 48 minutes, Santiago Abreu took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Thiago Pliego to make any attempt to save it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

54 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Santiago Abreu came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Celestiales's Iker Madrid proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Celestiales from getting a goal against them. Iker Madrid showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 57th minute of the match. Mariano Lacasa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iker Madrid having to interfere. Celestiales's Iker Madrid proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Celestiales from getting a goal against them. Celestiales's Santiago Abreu got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Iker Madrid came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Chile's Mariano Lacasa. But to his dismay, Mariano Lacasa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Celestiales made a substitution. Eustaquio Eudoxio replaced Santiago Abreu. Mariano Lacasa took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Iker Madrid. Iker Madrid dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Eustaquio Eudoxio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustaquio Eudoxio in the 79th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iker Madrid made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. Thiago Pliego stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eustaquio Eudoxio's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Thiago Pliego didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eustaquio Eudoxio went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-4 was the resulting score. Chile played a much better game than Celestiales and deserved their victory. The Celestiales players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
