The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Gunnar Lidberg despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Rory Blanton thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Gunnar Lidberg, a very annoying self made goal in the 4th minute which led to 0-1. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Mörknäs Electric Vikings was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Per-Arne Åström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gunnar Lidberg having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Mörknäs Electric Vikings's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Gunnar Lidberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18thth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mörknäs Electric Vikings's Gunnar Lidberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Mörknäs Electric Vikings's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Gunnar Lidberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roald Carlos kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Gunnar Lidberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 24th minute of play. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Gunnar Lidberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Montenegro in the 27th minute of play forced Mörknäs Electric Vikings's goalkeeper Gunnar Lidberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after Mörknäs Electric Vikings's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. In the 31st minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 33rd minute, Jack Ekenberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Mörknäs Electric Vikings's goalkeeper Gunnar Lidberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Mörknäs Electric Vikings got a freekick which was hit by Dragan Ninković. The long shot by Daniel Zorita in the 52nd minute really tested Gunnar Lidberg's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 53rd minute Alejo Silvanito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 54th minute Mörknäs Electric Vikings were awarded a corner. Cesar Domingues went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Cesar Domingues almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. In the 57th minute Mörknäs Electric Vikings were awarded a corner. After taking down the ball on Mörknäs Electric Vikings's corner Cesar Domingues fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. Gunnar Lidberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 59th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Jack Ekenberg came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felix Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Gunnar Lidberg made a huge save. In the 70th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gunnar Lidberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 74th match minute, Mörknäs Electric Vikings was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Per-Arne Åström to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Gunnar Lidberg in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 76 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Alejo Silvanito came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 77 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cesar Domingues who took care of the corner kick. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Gunnar Lidberg made a huge save. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gunnar Lidberg having to interfere. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Zorita hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Mörknäs Electric Vikings's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gunnar Lidberg came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jack Ekenberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jack Ekenberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Mörknäs Electric Vikings throughout the match.
