Lasse Virolainen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 10th minute of the match, Antti Kiprusoff tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bruno Barrett saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Bruno Barrett came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Kultapossukerho's Arto Hytönen. But to his dismay, Arto Hytönen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Bruno Barrett was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Arto Hytönen showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 18 minute of play. In the 22nd minute of the match Harvey Doyle sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lasse Virolainen skillfully saved the ball. Rocco Owen hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. If Arto Hytönen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 29th minute, Charles Cox hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Kultapossukerho's Arto Hytönen in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Curacao's goalie prevented a goal. In the 32nd match minute, Curacao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Troy Kennedy to maneuver through the defense. After 34 minutes, Janne Vatanen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kultapossukerho and the Curacao players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Kultapossukerho's Janne Vatanen got a free kick in the 34th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Arto Hytönen dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bruno Barrett, 3-0. In the 41st minute, Kultapossukerho's Keimo Kampman dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. 47 minutes into the game, Arto Hytönen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Bruno Barrett was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arto Hytönen made a kick off. Janne Vatanen took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bruno Barrett. Bruno Barrett dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Bruno Barrett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arto Hytönen in the 57th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Curacao defense, Janne Vatanen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bruno Barrett. The Curacao fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bruno Barrett should have stopped the shot. 63 minutes into the match, Curacao's goal looked a bit too open when Janne Vatanen came free, but Bruno Barrett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bruno Barrett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Janne Vatanen, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. With a little luck, Kultapossukerho's Lasse Virolainen got control of the ball when Stanley Wallace tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kultapossukerho made a substitution. Reima Jaakola replaced Keimo Kampman. Kultapossukerho's Verneri Valkama was substituted for Antti Kiprusoff. Bruno Barrett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arto Hytönen in the 73rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Curacao's zone, Janne Vatanen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruno Barrett came out of the goal and Janne Vatanen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lasse Virolainen made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Stanley Wallace sent off a good shot on target. In the 78th minute, Kyle Davies hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kultapossukerho's Arto Hytönen got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Janne Vatanen in the 83rd minute of play forced Curacao's goalkeeper Bruno Barrett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute Janne Vatanen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Barrett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 91 played minutes Curacao got a freekick which was hit by Rocco Owen. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stanley Wallace in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lasse Virolainen saved Kultapossukerho from getting behind. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Kultapossukerho fully deserved thier win.
