After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Marco Tamayo got a free kick in the 10th minute. Claudinei Marquez hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 14th match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joshua Curbelo to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lobo Zornoza in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ricardo Zorita prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ricardo Zorita made an important save on a dangerous shot by Célio Fontes in the 19th minute. Juvenal Sergipano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moises Fernandino in the 22nd minute of play. Juvenal Sergipano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moises Fernandino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ricardo Zorita was out of position in the 25 minute of play, and Clemente Zanussi capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Clemente Zanussi really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 28th minute, CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's Célio Fontes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. With a little luck, El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita got control of the ball when Nae Buteanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 33rd minute of the match CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE got a corner. El Salvador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Célio Fontes ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's Amado Froila to a score. 3-0 in the 33rd minute. The corner led CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's Célio Fontes to fire away a dangerous shot which Ricardo Zorita despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Amado Froila kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ricardo Zorita. That made the score 4-0 in the 41 minute of play. Ricardo Zorita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lobo Zornoza in the 44th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Célio Fontes made a kick off. When Célio Fontes came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Célio Fontes couldn't finish the play. After 53 minutes, Célio Fontes made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lobo Zornoza in the 56th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lobo Zornoza in the 62nd minute of play forced El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute of the match CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE got a corner. El Salvador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Célio Fontes ran over to the corner to take the kick. 70 minutes into the game, CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's Nae Buteanu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ricardo Zorita made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. 73 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Célio Fontes came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute, Amado Froila made a precise shot to the right of Ricardo Zorita. El Salvador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. The CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's Lobo Zornoza looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 8-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE made a substitution. Kiko Tande replaced Célio Fontes. The CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE fans' excitement grew in the 82nd match minute when CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's Lobo Zornoza looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 9-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some careless play in the El Salvador defense, Kiko Tande kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ricardo Zorita. The El Salvador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ricardo Zorita should have stopped the shot. Amado Froila recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Lobo Zornoza put it in 11-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ricardo Zorita.
