Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julian Murillo in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bonifacio Naldo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bonifacio Naldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Milagros Fraga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With 32 minutes on the clock, Paulo Quintan commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Atletico Calamar Saavedra fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 31st minute. Penalty! The referee gave Peru a penalty, 33 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Luz Tejedor, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Atletico Calamar Saavedra's Bonifacio Naldo. 0-2. After some careless play in the Atletico Calamar Saavedra defense, Julian Murillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bonifacio Naldo. The Atletico Calamar Saavedra fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bonifacio Naldo should have stopped the shot. 39 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bonifacio Naldo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruperto Txomin, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute.

The wind increased when Julian Murillo made the kick off in the second half. Fabio Hernando kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Tadeo Gitano in the 57th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. A collision led to Atletico Calamar Saavedra getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Abel Esiquio hit a great ball. Atletico Calamar Saavedra's Bonifacio Naldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 60th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Tadeo Gitano in the 66th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Atletico Calamar Saavedra's Bonifacio Naldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 68th minute of play. Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Tadeo Gitano, made in the 77th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice moves Luz Tejedor could shoot a difficult shot in the 84th minute, which Bonifacio Naldo however easily saved by the left post. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Atletico Calamar Saavedra's Serginho Silva was substituted for Fabio Hernando. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. 94 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Eugenio Fliz came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
