Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Mariano Lacasa made the kick off which started today's match. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Bottone in the 8th minute of play. A.S. Udinese's attentive Dino Pozzoli managed to snatch the ball when Felix Garrido made a throw-in in the 13th minute of the game. Chile's Thiago Pliego proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Chile from getting a goal against them. Mariano Lacasa took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alvaro Rotili. Alvaro Rotili dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Chile's Thiago Pliego proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Chile from getting a goal against them. A.S. Udinese were awarded a corner in the 25th minute after Chile's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Augusto Clemente took the corner. Alvaro Rotili showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando Casaus, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. A collision led to Chile getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Felix Garrido hit a great ball. With a little luck, Chile's Thiago Pliego got control of the ball when Alexander Bottone tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Chile's zone, Alexander Bottone stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thiago Pliego came out of the goal and Alexander Bottone tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Guillermo Fontirroig kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Alberigo Di Franco came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute of the match A.S. Udinese got a corner. Chile's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Augusto Clemente ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led A.S. Udinese's Augusto Clemente to fire away a dangerous shot which Thiago Pliego despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Bottone in the 54th minute of play. Alvaro Rotili made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Casaus in the 60th minute of play. A.S. Udinese's Cristiano Paolucci was substituted for Augusto Clemente. Bruno Maranzano hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. 72 minutes into the game, A.S. Udinese's Alexander Bottone nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thiago Pliego made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Alexander Bottone took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thiago Pliego. Thiago Pliego dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Mariano Lacasa's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alvaro Rotili firmly grabbed it by the left post. 81 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alvaro Rotili. A.S. Udinese's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mariano Lacasa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. A.S. Udinese's Alvaro Rotili proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save A.S. Udinese from getting a goal against them. Alvaro Rotili made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 85th minute. When Alexander Bottone came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the A.S. Udinese fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexander Bottone couldn't finish the play. 91 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alvaro Rotili narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Chile's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
