FK Řitka's supporters rose to their feet, but Miroslav Pernický was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marco Day breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 36th match minute, USA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zach Harrison to maneuver through the defense. Eduard Kopecký blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marco Day having to make a save. Cleto Peyo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for USA. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Agostinho Vidal was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute of the match USA got a corner. FK Řitka's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cassius Byrne ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led USA's Cassius Byrne to fire away a dangerous shot which Cleto Peyo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Cleto Peyo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Monty Rogers's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miroslav Pernický in the 55th minute of the match. USA were awarded a corner in the 59th minute after FK Řitka's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cassius Byrne took the corner. 62 minutes into the match, FK Řitka's goal looked a bit too open when Monty Rogers came free, but Cleto Peyo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cassius Byrne in the 68th minute of play forced FK Řitka's goalkeeper Cleto Peyo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agostinho Vidal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the USA players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
