The audience thought a goal was coming when Jacob Albuquerque got free with Pedro Manzanares in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovani Mendonça in the 23rd minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abram Sarmiento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Vladimir Prestes made a huge save. In the 74th minute, Geovani Mendonça made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. In the 93rd match minute, The Cavern Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tobias Otsoa to maneuver through the defense. 95 minutes had been played when some careless play by The Cavern Club's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Kevin Mastache was slow to take the kick. During this time Colombia's players had a chance to rest.
