Rogelio Liher was slow to take the kick. During this time TRIDΣNT's players had a chance to rest. Chucky Gol came free with the goalkeeper in the 25th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Julio Vera could save by the left post. After 28 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mariano Chesus was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mariano Chesus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 32nd minute of the match. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Chucky Gol went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chucky Gol got free with Julio Vera in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. TRIDΣNT's attentive Clovis Hudry managed to snatch the ball when Primitivo Andino made a throw-in in the 39th minute of the game. TRIDΣNT's Chucky Gol got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Esteban Salomon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th play minute Daniel Zorita came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Mariano Chesus. 1-3. In the 67th minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-4. In the 71st minute, Battal Cüneyt Akkan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Chesus having to interfere. The supporters of Ecuador booed when TRIDΣNT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romulo Veto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. Primitivo Andino thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Julio Vera, a very annoying self made goal in the 98th minute which led to 3-5. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
